Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at Glendale First United Methodist reaches out to all persons.

The first service (9:15 a.m. in Carlson Fellowship Center) is led by our Contemporary Choir and Band. Congregational singing is an important part of this service.

The second service (10:45 in the Sanctuary) is led by our Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Nancy Sulahian, and Dr. Ladd Thomas at the organ.

We also have two adult handbell choirs -- The Carillon Ringers and the Wesleyans. Both groups participate regularly in worship, festivals, and workshops. They rehearse on Monday evenings (6:00-7:30 p.m. for Carillons; 7:30-9:00 p.m. for Wesleyans). Contact Scott Leggett for more information.

We also have an active Children's Music Program under the direction of Pearl Marshall.

The Cathedral Choir rehearses on Thursday evening from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Music Center (under the sanctuary) and again on Sunday mornings before the 10:45 service. The choir is open to all and you are encouraged to visit a rehearsal or speak with Nancy Sulahian for more details.

The Contemporary Choir and Band practice on Friday evenings as part of the 1st Service Family Fellowship program and again on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Contact any member of the Choir or Band for more details.

This video shows the new organ pipes spread out in the Sanctuary before being

installed behind the Altar. Installation took 1 week plus another week for tuning.
