Bible Study and Life Groups

Practicing the Greatest Commandment: loving God and loving neighbor, does not happen in a vacuum; it is done in community.  Here at Glendale First, connecting with one another is a primary goal that seeks to expand as an ever-widening circle of care, love, and support to our membership community, to the neighborhoods we live in, and beyond. We have a number of Bible studies, life groups, and fellowship groups that you can be a part of. The groups are loosely based on life-stage or shared interests.

Community in the Wesleyan Tradition

Methodism began when people started to meet in small groups or "Class Meetings" so that each person felt connected to a support network throughout his or her journey of life and discipleship. We were never meant to live our Christian life alone, critical, living in a culture and society that seems to breed isolationism and loneliness. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism asked, "How is it with your soul?" Community in the Wesleyan tradition is about authenticity, vulnerability, support, accountability, and love at the heart of everything we do and strive for.
