Lenten Studies

We have a variety of book studies and conversations in small group settings that you can join. Please see the books below and contact the office if you are interested in signing up.

  • Easter Earthquake

Pastor's Forum will feature a Lenten study of Pastor James A. Harnish's book, Easter Earthquake. All are invited to this Lenten conversation held in Room 151 each Sunday beginning at 9:15 a.m.

  • A World Worth Saving

A Wednesday evening Lenten study features A World Worth Saving by George Hovaness Donigian. "See Lent as your Opportunity to become involved in acts of mercy and compassion. This engaging multiple-week study for Lent will help us grow in our lives of faith. We will pray about daily news reports, discover the needs of persons around us, and wonder how we can respond with love and compassion." Our Lenten conversations will begin at 6:30 p.m. with supper (available until 7:30 p.m.), singing and praying in the North Wing.

  • Barking to the Choir

A book study featuring the novel, Barking to the Choir, The Power of Radical Kinship by Gregory Boyle, will be offered each Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the dining room.

  • The Great Spiritual Migration

"The Christian Story, from genesis until now, is fundamentally about people on the move-outgrowing old, broken religious systems and embracing new, more redemptive ways of live.  It's time to move again." Join us for the Great Spiritual Migration, How the World's Largest Religion is Seeking a Better Way to be Christian by Brian D. McLaren. We meet each Sunday in the "Lounge", room 230 at 9:15 a.m.
